Recognize your condition!
...............................................................................................................................................
Every human upon the face of the earth is a
sinner by birth. That is why you never
have to teach a child how to do wrong, but
how to
do right…
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God;”
Romans 3:23
Our sin is what separates us from God, and
sin must be paid for.
"For the wages of sin is death;”
Romans 6:23
A wage is a payment, something that we’ve
earned. The payment of our sin is
death and hell, separation from God forever.
If we continue in our sin, we shall die
without Christ and be without God for
eternity.
Religion and good works are not the
answer!
You cannot save yourself! If being
good or going to church can save you, why
did Jesus Christ have to die?
Religions try to create their own ways to
God. Their systems may seem logical,
but they can never save you.
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Proverbs 14:12
But, I’m glad that God’s Word, the Bible,
provides the true answer to find grace and
forgiveness.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of
works, lest any man
should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
Salvation is by faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ, and no amount of good works can get
you to Heaven. It is a free gift that
cannot be earned, but simply must be
received.
“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
The good news is that Jesus Christ paid for
our sins!
................................................................................
Even though we were lost and separated from
God, Jesus Christ loved us, and gave Himself
for us.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
Through the death and Resurrection of Jesus
Christ we can have hope. He paid our
sin debt for us, and now we don’t have to
pay it ourselves! He knew every sin
that you and I would commit, and still loves
us and desires for us to be saved and to
spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
You must personally pray and receive Christ
by faith!
...............................................................................
Just because Jesus Christ died for everyone,
doesn’t mean everyone is going to Heaven.
In order to have a relationship with God and
an eternal home in Heaven, we must stop
trusting ourselves, our works, and our
religions, and place our full trust in
Christ alone for the forgiveness of our sin
and eternal life.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:9-10
According to these verses, you must believe
and confess in your heart (not your head),
that Jesus is both Lord and Christ, and that
He died and rose again for you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
This is God’s promise to you, that if you
will pray to Him, confess that you are a
sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and
turn to Him alone to be your Saviour; He
promises to save you and give you the free
gift of eternal life.
You can make that decision today by praying
sincerely from your heart, something like
this:
|
“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, and I
cannot save myself. I deserve to
pay for my sins, but I know that Jesus
Christ
died to save me. Jesus, I trust you
alone for salvation. Please come into
my life, take away my sins, and take me
to Heaven when I die. Help me to live
for you from this day forward."
Amen |
New life!
........................................................................................................................................................................................
New life begins the moment we receive Christ
as Saviour!
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
